New DAR Chapter- Ogle County IL The National Society Daughters of the American Revolution has named Sharon Nordman Ogle "Organizing Regent" of a New Chapter in Ogle County. The New Chapter is working to organize with the Illinois State Organizing Secretary and the Office of the Organizing Secretary General in Washington, DC.

White House History Association Devoted entirely to the once-famous “Gold Spoon Oration," the latest issue of White House History reprinted for the first time since 1840 Congressman Charles Ogle's lengthy oration to Congress. In the aftermath of the Panic 1837, Ogle felt compelled to respond to lavish expenditures for White House furnishings, in particular a $3,665 appropriation for alterations and repairs to the President’s House on the floor of the House of Representatives.
